Performing the functions of a Regional Hub, YZU also has its role to share the knowledge and capacity it possesses with all members of the Hub.
With this in mind, the Regional Hub is oriented towards creating, preserving and sharing knowledge in the areas of research and educational interest. This is a critical activity where the dissemination of digital resources enables learning organizations to create and maintain repositories of knowledge for the benefit of academics and researchers as well as students and all other stakeholders.
The repository of knowledge at the Regional Hub connects its partner organizations in the context of information and experience, aiming to create an opportunity for access and inclusion of their representatives, discussion forums, information exchange and other elements.
Through it, the LSU provides a central place to collect, contribute and share digital learning resources for use in instructional design and content development for both traditional and non-traditional learning environments.
The knowledge repository is an integral part of the knowledge management approach and a valuable enabler of social and informal learning activities. It is also a particularly important tool for interaction between the members of the Regional Hub, as well as for attracting new partners.
